ഗ്രോത്ത്‌ ഹോര്‍മ്മോണിന്റെ കുറവുമൂലം വളര്‍ച്ച മുരടിച്ചുനില്‍ക്കുന്ന അഞ്ജുവിന് ചികിത്സക്കായി സാമ്പത്തിക സഹായം ആവശ്യമുണ്ട്‌. 12-ാ‍ം ക്ലാസില്‍ പഠിക്കുന്ന അഞ്ജുവിന് കേവലം രണ്ടാം ക്ലാസില്‍ പഠിക്കുന്ന ഒരു കുട്ടിയുടെ ഉയരമേയുള്ളു. ബാല്യത്തില്‍ത്തന്നെ ഗ്രോത്ത്‌ ഹോര്‍മ്മോണ്‍ അപര്യാപ്തയുണ്ടെന്ന് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും നിത്യവൃത്തിക്കായി കഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു കുടുംബത്തിലെ അംഗമെന്ന നിലയില്‍ അഞ്ജുവിന്റെ ചികിത്സ പലപ്പോഴും മുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു. ദിവസേനയുള്ള ഗ്രോത്ത്‌ ഹോര്‍മോണ്‍ കുത്തിവയ്പ്പാണ്‌ ഈ അവസ്ഥയ്ക്ക്‌ പരിഹാരം. നല്ലവരായ പലരുടെയും സഹായം കൊണ്ട്‌ 6 മാസത്തേയ്ക്ക്‌ ചികിത്സ നടത്തിയെങ്കിലും ഒടുവില്‍ പണത്തിന്റെ അപര്യാപ്തത മൂലം നിര്‍ത്തിവയ്ക്കുകയാണ്‌ ഉണ്ടായത്‌. സ്കൂള്‍ ബാഗ്‌ ചുമക്കാന്‍ പോലും ഉയരക്കുറവ്‌ മൂലം അഞ്ജുവിനു സാധിക്കുന്നില്ല.
ഈ ചികിത്സയ്ക്ക്‌ ആഴ്ചയില്‍ 24 യൂണിറ്റ്‌ ഗ്രോത്ത്‌ ഹോര്‍മ്മോണ്‍ ആവശ്യമുണ്ട്‌. ഇത്‌ ദിവസേനയുള്ള ഇന്‍ജെക്ഷന്‍ വഴി നല്‍കുന്നു. ഒരു യൂണിറ്റ്‌ ഹോര്‍മോണിന്‌ 322 രൂപയാണ്‌ വില. (ഒരു വര്‍ഷത്തെ ചികിത്സയ്ക്ക്‌ ഏകദേശം 4,01,856 രൂപയും). സാമ്പത്തികമായി വളരെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുന്ന അഞ്ജുവിന്റെ കുടുംബം ഈ ചിലവ്‌ വഹിക്കാന്‍ വളരെ പ്രയാസപ്പെടുന്നു. അഞ്ജുവിന്റെ ചികിത്സക്കായി സഹായം നല്‍കാന്‍ താത്പര്യമുള്ളവര്‍ ദയവായി താഴെപ്പറയുന്ന ഫെഡെറല്‍ ബാങ്ക്‌ അക്കൗണ്ടിലേക്ക്‌ പണമയക്കാന്‍ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
